Starting cornerback Brandon Carr has agreed to appear at all eight regular season home game Star Sports Tours Player Meet & Greets for the 2013 season! This is your chance to meet Brandon Carr and get his autograph on your favorite photo, football, jersey or mini-helmet.
The Cowboys instantly improved the secondary in free agency by signing cornerback Brandon Carr in the 2012 offseason to a five year contract. In his first year with Dallas, Carr started all 16 games, amassed 53 tackles, and lead the team in both pass breakups (11) and interceptions (3) including 1 returned for a touchdown. He also had the most memorable interception of the year, an overtime beauty against the Steelers to seal the victory.
Bryan Broaddus, football analyst for DallasCowboys.com, had this to say about Brandon Carr, “The one area where he really shined was in his ball skills. I came away more impressed with his ability to play the ball in the air and keep it away from the receiver. Where Carr showed his versatility during the season was not only marking the opponent’s best receiver but when injuries hit the safety position, he was able to work there in some sub packages.”
Our exclusive Player Meet & Greet is held the day before each home game in the magnificent Gaylord Texan Resort, and features an autograph session with at least three current Dallas Cowboys players, a massive prize giveaway, food & beverages and a few surprises! The Meet & Greet is included with the Founders Club, Club VIP, Club Blue, Club Silver, VIP and Five Star packages. It may be added to the Star and Silver packages for an additional cost.
Star Sports Tours would like to extend a special "congratulations" to Charles Haley for recently being named as a Finalist for the NLF Hall of Fame Class of 2013. Charles is among the 17 finalists who will be considered for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame when the Hall's Selection Committee meets in New Orleans, La. on Saturday, February 2, 2013.
If you've traveled with Star Sports Tours in the last two years, chances are you've met Charles Haley at our Tailgate Party, have his autograph and have taken a picture with him. That means you've met one of the most devastating pass rushers in NFL history, and the only player in NFL history to win five Super Bowls!
Haley collected 100.5 sacks during his 169-game career. He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Year twice (1990 and 1994), voted to five Pro Bowls and named All-Pro two times, once as a linebacker and once as a defensive end.
He played in six NFC championship games over a seven-season period. Haley was a member of 10 division championship teams during his 12-season NFL career. Prior to his final season, the fewest number of wins any NFL team recorded with Haley on the roster was 10. He is not only a Dallas Cowboys Legend, he is an NFL Legend.
Charles Haley is 1 of 15 modern-era finalists, which include fellow Dallas Cowboy Larry Allen, Bill Parcells, Jerome Bettis, Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Edward J. Debartolo, Jr., Kevin Greene, Art Modell, Jonathan Ogden, Andre Reed, Warren Sapp, Will Shields, Michael Strahan and Aeneas Williams.
The 15 modern-era finalists were determined by a vote of the Hall's Selection Committee from a list of 127 nominees that earlier was reduced to a list of 27 semifinalists, during the multi-step, year-long selection process. Curley Culp and Dave Robinson were selected as senior candidates by the Hall of Fame's Seniors Committee.
If Charles is selected for induction into the NFL Hall of Fame when the Hall's Selection Committee meets in New Orleans, La. on Saturday, February 2, 2013, Star Sports Tours will provide Travel Packages to the Induction Ceremony and Hall of Fame Game. We also provide Travel Packages for all 2013 Dallas Cowboys home and away games.
Congratulations & Good Luck, Charles!
Former Dallas Cowboys scout and current DallasCowboys.com writer, Bryan Broaddus will answer your questions about America's Team during the Star Sports Tours Player Meet & Greet at all remaining Cowboys home and away games this season. He will take you inside the locker rooms and on the practice fields, so you feel that you are right there in the War Room when the decisions are being made.
"I promise to be your eyes and ears for everything that goes on at Valley Ranch with the Cowboys but also with the National Football League as well. In my 13 years as an NFL scout I have access to front office members, coaches, scouts and players that few have covering this team and league. I will not only be breaking down America's Team but their weekly opponents as well. I will tell you who is a star and who will need to look for another job."
Bryan Broaddus currently works for DallasCowboys.com and was a scout in the National Football League for 13 seasons working with the Packers, Eagles, Jaguars and Cowboys. Broaddus earned a Super Bowl Ring from the Packers in 1996.
Dallas Cowboy Legend and Five-time Super Bowl Champion, Charles Haley took some time out from tutoring DeMarcus Ware, Tyrone Crawford and other D lineman, to sign autographs at the Star Sports Tours booth in the midway of the Dallas Cowboys Training Camp in Oxnard on Friday August 3rd and Saturday August 4th. Hundreds of fans enjoyed the special opportunity to meet Charles and receive complimentary autographs from him.
The weather didn't cooperate on Friday, as 10 minutes into the autograph session it started to rain. But that didn't deter the diehard Cowboys fans who braved the storm and patiently waited to meet this true Cowboys legend. Haley was equally up for the challenge, as he worked hard to keep mini-helmets and footballs dry so his signature wouldn't run. Saturday's weather was much better, as the California sunshine made for a fun and exciting day for all. We enjoyed meeting current and future Star Sports Tours clients at the first week of Training Camp. We hope you had a great time at camp and enjoyed the autograph session with Charles Haley!
This season, Charles will be joined by other Cowboys Legends at the Star Sports Tours Tailgate Party before every Dallas Cowboys home game! We host the Best Tailgate Party in Texas, before every Dallas Cowboys home game, in the shadow of the best stadium in the world! Join your fellow Cowboys fans in a pre-game celebration that includes food, beverages for the adults & kids, TVs, music, prize giveaways and all the fun & games you can handle.
Our tailgate party is the prime location to get ready for the big game. In the event of bad weather, we will take the party indoors to keep you warm and dry! This is THE Cowboys pre-game experience from the Official Fan Travel Partner of the Dallas Cowboys! The Star Sports Tailgate Party is included with the Founders Club, VIP and Five Star packages. It may be added to the Star and Silver packages for an additional cost.
First round draft pick and starting Left Tackle Tyron Smith has agreed to appear at all eight regular season home game Star Sports Tours Player Meet & Greets for the 2012 season! This is your chance to meet Tyron and get his autograph on your favorite photo, football, jersey or mini-helmet. Following in the Cowboys tradition of dominant offensive lineman, Tyron is sure to be an anchor of our line for a very long time.
The Cowboys drafted Tyron out of USC last year, and at 6'5", 308 pounds he made quite an impression on his teammates, the coaching staff and on opposing defensive linemen. This year he is responsible for protecting Tony Romo's blindside. Earlier this year Tyron was featured as part of DallasCowboys.com's The Ultimate 53, a list of one player from each of the Cowboys' 53 seasons to form The Ultimate Team.
According to Nick Eatman, DallasCowboys.com staff writer, "When it comes to the offensive line, the offensive tackle spot and specifically the left tackle position, the future is Tyron Smith. The Cowboys hadn't drafted an offensive linemen in the first round since 1981 before they went with Smith. He's a guy that should be around for a while and if the Cowboys can find any other young players with as much as potential and upside as Smith, they need to go for it. But Tyron Smith is likely going to be one of the cornerstones of this team and the offensive line for years to come."
Our exclusive Player Meet & Greet is held the day before each home game in the magnificent Gaylord Texan Resort, and features an autograph session with at least three current Dallas Cowboys players, a massive prize giveaway, food & beverages and a few surprises! The Meet & Greet is included with the Founders Club, VIP and Five Star packages. It may be added to the Star and Silver packages for an additional cost.

ARLINGTON, Texas- Twenty-eight years after his retirement, Drew Pearson is finally a Cowboys Ring of Honor member. And he's got company.
Joining Pearson is Larry Allen, arguably the most dominant offensive lineman in franchise history, and Charles Haley, viewed as the missing link to the Cowboys' defensive renaissance of the 1990s. All three will be formally inducted together at the Cowboys' Nov. 6 home game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced their additions Friday at Cowboys Stadium prior to the team's situational practice with the San Diego Chargers. Also symbolic of the Cowboys' rich tradition, some 50 former players visited practice as special guests.
Long regarded as one of the most important players in team history, Pearson played 11 seasons in Dallas (1973-83) and was a key member of the 1977 Super Bowl championship team. He ranks third on the Cowboys' all-time receiving list with 489 catches for 7,822 yards and 48 touchdowns.
Perhaps most fitting to the Ring Honor, Pearson was involved in many of the Cowboys' enduring moments: his winning "Hail Mary" touchdown catch from Roger Staubach in the 1975 playoffs against Minnesota; his winning touchdown catch from backup quarterback Clint Longley in the famous 1974 Thanksgiving comeback against the Redskins; and his two late touchdowns to lift the Cowboys past Atlanta in the 1980 divisional playoff.
For years, Pearson's former teammates have lobbied for his inclusion. Now is "the right time," he says.
"Now my kids are grown enough to really appreciate this, understand what it really means, and now my grandkids are old enough now to understand what it means and appreciate it," Pearson said. "I am very thankful, very honored and very privileged to join this elite group."
Allen, an 11-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro selection, played every line position but center during his 12 seasons (1994-2005) with the Cowboys, including their 1995 championship season. At his primary guard position, he kept quarterback Troy Aikman on his feet and paved holes for running back Emmitt Smith. Never verbose as a player, Allen kept his comments short, thanking the Jones family and his offensive-line teammates.
"My rookie year I sat back and I watched them and that's what I want these young guys to do," said Allen, who's working with first-round offensive tackle Tyron Smith this week.
Haley won an NFL-record five Super Bowls in 13 NFL seasons: two with the San Francisco 49ers from 1986-91 and three with the Cowboys from 1992-96. He finished with 100.5 career sacks.
All three are considered worthy candidates for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Haley has come closest to Canton as a finalist for the 2011 class. Allen will be a prime candidate for first-ballot induction when he becomes eligible in 2013. Although the Ring of Honor isn't necessarily criteria for the Hall of Fame committee, it can only help all three.
"I'm about 10-foot tall," Haley said. "I came into the world about 6-4 and a half. Now I'm 10-foot tall because (I've stepped on) all the mistakes I've made. But the greatest thing I've ever done is come to the Cowboys and win three Super Bowls and be a part of something great."
As Cowboys Stadium enters its third season of operation, Jones said the timing seemed right for inducting three new members into the exclusive Ring, which has grown to 20: Pearson, Allen, Haley, Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett, Cliff Harris, Bob Hayes, Chuck Howley, Michael Irvin, Lee Roy Jordan, Tom Landry, Bob Lilly, Don Meredith, Don Perkins, Mel Renfro, Tex Schramm, Emmitt Smith, Roger Staubach, Randy White and Rayfield Wright.
"Certainly Larry Allen and Charles have got a chance to go to the Hall of Fame. ... I really wanted to make (known) how highly Charles was thought of by the Cowboys as he goes through his process there," Jones said. "And I did feel like it was time to recognize what Drew Pearson's done for the franchise."
NEW YORK -- Longtime NFL Defensive End Charles Haley was selected for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame's Divisional class for players and coaches who made their marks at small colleges.
Haley played at James Madison from 1982-85. He is still the school's career leader in tackles and in 1986 he became the first player from the school selected in the NFL draft.
He went on to a stellar career with the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys and is the only NFL player to win five Super Bowl championships.
